Mission statement
European Church Planting Network seeks to connect best practitioners in open source learning communities to accelerate missional church planting in Europe.
The need for rethinking strategy
ECPN believes Churches are being called to radically rethink their strategies for harvesting the unchurched in a post-christendom and post-modern Europe.
The forming of learning communities is key to innovation
Beginning 2007 church leaders from Northern-Western and Central-Eastern Europe will gather to form two learning communities to undertake a shared learning process of exploring the best practices of missional church planting and thus self-select and implement proven principles to improve their own model of church planting.

No One model for church planting!
In Europe we are seeing simple organic churches, emergent churches, network churches, house church movements, multi-congregational churches, new monasticism-churches, cyberspace churches, G12-models, seeker-sensitive models and traditional-innovative church plants. The style of organization, culture, leadership, worship and spirituality varies a lot in diverse contexts. ECPN is an open source community and doesn´t embrace any single model of church planting but facilitates a learning process based on a diversity of proven models in a European context.
